Neighbors [Distracted with his thoughts of the sea, Zed does a double-take when he's called out by this new neighbor of his. Isn't she a little young to be living on her own? Oh well, at least she polite enough, and he can table his thoughts on moon-kidnapped unaccompanied minors later. The moment he had heard about Crystal Beach, his destination was set.]
Ah, welcome. I'm Zed O'Brien, a new resident as well. [Despite his usual calm demeanor, there's hints in his body language that he's got somewhere important to be.] I was heading out for the beach, so I can't stay long to chat.
[She returned the greeting. Well, Tsu is still a little shaken to her sudden abduction, but remained calmed. Panic was no good. She tapped her chin curiously.]
Are you hoping to find something there O'Brien-chan? [She asked curiously. He was moon-napped recently, so maybe Zed was either looking for more information just as she was or, a way out. Regardless, the frog followed him to see what else she could learn.]
[Wait. A. Moment. Ribbit? Zed pauses because...did he just hear that right? Okay, the 'chan' part gets an extra couple of seconds delay, but the most important piece was the sound he just heard.]
...Nothing in particular, I just wanted to go. You're welcome to come along. [Since she seems to be following him anyways.] Did you mean to say ribbit?
Huh, I see... [Well, that's interesting...and a little cute since it doesn't seem intentional. A frog quirk, though-- he seems to be meeting plenty of humans with an array of abilities. But back to the goal at hand! Blessed, billowing waves without any skyscraper-sized kraken tentacles causing mayhem!] Crystal Beach shouldn't take too long to get to.
[It's up to Tsuyu whether she'd like to divulge more information on her quirk, but eventually SCENE TRANSITION. Zed immediately begins to kick off his shoes to feel the sand beneath his webbed feet when they finally arrive. He didn't spend much time looking around the area on the way there, beyond figuring out directions; it's not often he's so dead set and enthusiastic about something. Seeing the water again is a big deal. It doesn't mean he forgets about his new acquanitince, though:]
With your quirk, are you able to go into salt water?
[She doesn't go on with her quirk, unless asked, so she refrained herself. To Crystal Beach!
When they arrived there, Tsuyu was in a one piece bathing suit. She kicked the sands, to get a good feel, see if anything was different, but it wasn't. She didn't have webbed feet like normal frogs. Judging by Zen's look, he was excited to see the water. Ah, so he just wanted to go for a whim. Maybe he was really more fish.]
I can adapt to almost any body of water. [Well, she hasn't came across a body of water she couldn't, yet. She pressed her finger under her cheek, the edge of her jaw.] I can stay under water up to six to seven hours so far. Are you fine with me coming along?
[Let's face. Tsuyu is a teenager, going with an adult she just met, and she's highly curious what's under water here. She never had the leisure to use her quirk more often in public, for good reasons.]
[There's a lot of new things to contemplate today, and he's surprised with how thrown-off he feels being asked about company. He did invite her to begin with! Yet the idea of almost being a chaperone is unfamiliar territory. He's done guard duty and surveillance before, so isn't this the same? Dear gods, where is KK to give advice when you need her?]
...It's fine. With that kind of duration underwater, it'll be like we're walking in a park. [Completely normal! It's easier for the fishman to put it in that kind of perspective because...he's completely unable to give CPR if she were to drown. If Tsuyu wasn't so capable, he'd have to reject her.
Before the trek into deep water begins, Zed shucks off his cargo pants for the swim trunks underneath. They're folded, placed on top of his shoes along with his gloves, and the fishman wraps up the bundle with what looks like red metallic thread that he produces from his hand. His real "quirk". The breathing apparatus around his neck stays; it's too expensive to leave behind for it to be potentially stolen. The fins on his arms unfurl and retract several times before he looks to Tsuyu again:]
We may be newly acquainted and this sea is unknown to me, but I will do my best to keep you safe. [This is how chaperoning works, right?]
[That's an interesting quirk. She doesn't know much about fish quirks but she's pretty sure fish don't shoot out red threads. Oh well, onward. She sets her school bag down next to his belongings. Unless someone wants clothes and school work, nothing really matters in there, besides cell phone.]
Ribbit. [She replies back with a nod, acknowledging the unknown.] If it becomes dangerous, I'll swim back. [That she's confident of her swimming skills. She doesn't want to burden Zed, and the least she can do is retreat. She has yet to use the full extent of her quirk outside. This underwater expedition seems more like a beginner scuba diver. She's scared, and at the same time a rush of thrill.]
Do you think it will be anything like Earth? [She kicks the water, walking through. The temperature is cold, but not cold enough.]
[...Okay, the ribbits are now officially endearing.]
Don't know, but I doubt there's any krakens in the immediate vicinity.
[IF ONLY HE WERE JOKING but that's a real hell in Hellsalem's Lot.
Forward they go into the great, watery unknown! When the water gets above-waist height from wading, Zed fully submerges himself and continues swimming out. He's not sure how fast Tsuyu's quirk allows her to swim, so he keeps up with whatever pace she sets. Now that they've made an impromptu team, he's not going to leave her behind. The waters are surprisingly clear with barnacle-covered rocks, seaweed and small fish apparent below them. As they arrive to where the land suddenly drops off, Zed pauses only to undo his air gear. No need to breathe stale water anymore. The pink gills stand out against his neck and jawline, and he looks pleased when he turns to smile at Tsuyu.]
So far it looks about average. [His voice carries well underwater, oddly enough.]
[....He's not joking. She can tell. She hiccups one more 'ribbit' because well, scary. Giant octopus, no.]
Ribbit. Sounds like you've dealt with them before.
[Tsu follows, keeping up so far with Zed. Her speed is average of a fish underwater, surprisingly faster than normal frogs. When the floor level drops, she can see most of the deep sea corals, seaweeds, and fish around. Her feet and legs are what gives the speed, arms clamped on her sides. If she had her hero suit, the flippers on her feet helps accelerate. So she dives deeper, to get a better look if she can. If the water gets too cold, she rises back from the deep.]

[She nods, still following. She doesn't seem to be bother of this, she's a frog quirk user, a mutant. Like him.] It comes with the frog quirk.
